Obsession: 2nd Edition Wessex Expansion
This expansion requires the Obsession Board Game (base game) to play. It increases variety by adding a new family, additional guests, new tiles, and solo play options.
The Wessex expansion adds a fifth family board that gives the advantage of a larger starting country estate. A player selecting the Family Wessex player board will have their choice between a Breakfast Room and Tennis Court—second level improvements—in his or her manor house at the beginning of the game. The expansion also adds five additional Starter Guests, five additional Casual Guests, five additional Prestige Guests, and six new solo opponents that enable extended play.
Unique to the second edition (indicated by 2.1E topped by a crown in the upper right-hand corner of the box) are two new improvement tiles: The Morning Room and Retiring Room.
This expansion adds six unique solo opponents for use in extended play.
This game does not enable 5 players by itself. The Upstairs, Downstairs expansion enables 5 and 6 players by providing the tiles, cards, and servants necessary; however, to play with six players, the Wessex family and player board are required (from this expansion).
