Dare you enter the Dragon’s lair? Venture deep into the dungeons of Dragon Keep to steal the most valuable treasures of the land. Be quick, be quiet! One false move and CLANK! the dragon is awake!
Stealing from a dragon is not an easy task! You will have to navigate through the ruins, fight deadly monsters and take risks to gain the most valuable artefacts, in order to be crowned the greatest thief in all the kingdom!
SWORDS - which are used to fight the monsters that infest the dungeon.
BOOTS, which are used to move around the board.
There are also two other types of cards that can give you gold (worth victory points at the end of the game) or CLANK! (add cubes from your personal supply to the Clank space on the board.)
During your turn you can use the resources you have gained in order to perform actions:
acquire a card for your deck from the ‘Dungeon card row’, move through tunnels in the dungeon, use a device, fight a monster or buy from the market.
At the end of your go the Dungeon row is refreshed to replace any cards taken from here during your turn; if any cards are revealed with a dragon symbol on then the dragon attacks! Take all the clank from the board and put it into the dragon’s cloth bag. Then draw a number of clank from the bag equal to the dragon’s rage level. If black clank cubes are drawn then you have snuck past the dragon unnoticed…however if your colour is revealed you are under attack and take damage to your heath.
Will you escape the dragon’s clutch and clamber out of the Dungeon to victory or will the attack scar’s run too deep and leave you to rot in the Dungeon forever…or at least until your next game!
The components of the game are of great quality, including wooden meeples and Clank cubes, 183 cards with a nicely illustrated fantasy theme and a velvet drawstring bag with the dragon logo on.
If you manage to tame the dragon too often, flip the board for a more advanced game.
Clank! is a fantastic game that will leave you wanting to play again and again.
